Session: Clash Of Minds

Timing: 10:00 am – 02:00 pm

The COMMERCE AND ECONOMICS CLUB held the event "Clash Of Minds" on 19th August 2016 which was organized by all the committee members and the head of the committee. Great participation by 14 teams with 4 students per team was shown up in the event. Reverenced Principal Dr. Koel Roy Choudhary graced the event with their presence. The event was judged by respected faculty Prof. Priyanka Dukhande and Prof. Kavita Chakravarty. The event started by Lightning Of Lamp by our esteemed Principal, Judges and the Committee Head.

The event included three rounds, First round was "Dumsharaz " where each team was given 2 minutes for two movies and was cleared by 9 teams while the second round was "Guess The Tune" where the teams had to guess the product or company of the tune which was cleared by 4 teams. The last round was “Sell The Product” where the participants showed ingenious and newfangled marketing skills. By the eccentric performance Roshni, Lavina, Siddhi ,Vedita (SYJC)won the game. The first runnerup were Saipriya, Aishwarya, Manisha , Athulya (FYCS).

The convener and of the club ended up the event by giving a motivational speech and congratulated the committee members for the first success event.

Session: Consumer Awareness and Financial Literacy

The Commerce and Economics Club of the College under the guidance of the Principal, Ms. Koel Roy Choudhury has conducted a seminar for all the streams in the college. The Seminar was regarding “Consumer Awareness and Financial Literacy” in association with the CGSI.

The entire seminar was been conducted in 3 sessions.

First Session: Course B.Com: Timing (09:00 am to 11:00 am)

Second Session: Course BFM, BAF, BBI: Timing (11:15 am to 01:15 pm)

Third Session: Course BMS and Junior College: Timing (02:00 pm to 04:00 pm)

The guest (expertise) speaker for the same were

3. Mr. Drupat Gaikwad

4. Mr. Dinesh Gamre

Topics covered in detailed in the seminar were Consumer awareness, How to be a Smart Investor? And Milk Testing. The vital aim in organising the seminar was to spread awareness on the financial new development and innovative investment, and also to make students exposed to practical knowledge. The total number of the participants in the seminar was approx. 250.
